Disinfect Your Freshwater System

You use the water in your camper’s freshwater system to cook and use the bathroom. That’s why you want this in perfect working order. The best way to disinfect a freshwater tank is to drain all the water and add as much chlorine as needed to cleanse it.

Once you’ve done this, add water to the very top of the tank and allow it to sit for about 12 hours. After that, drain it and refill fresh water before leaving home.

Clean and Disinfect the Interior

If your RV has been in storage for a few months, some creepy crawlies have likely found their way inside your cabin. Possibly, they may have left you with a few unpleasant surprises on your RV’s surfaces. This can make your camper unsightly and unhygienic.

When disinfecting the surfaces, spray a disinfectant solution on your tables, dashboards, cupboards, countertops, toilet seats, etc., and use a microfiber towel to wipe them down. Tend to stubborn stains by spraying extra solution and wiping them down again.

Disinfect the Exterior

Over time and with regular use, dust, dirt, or grime can accumulate over certain parts of your RV, including the door handles and storage areas. Be prepared to clean and disinfect these spots and make your camper cozy and inviting again. Don't forget to look for rust and other gunk around moisture-laden areas.
